EVER Pharma joins forces with EFNR & ESO to revolutionize Post-Stroke Rehabilitation Training
In the past 15 years, EVER Pharma has significantly intensified its commitment to supporting countries in enhancing their treatment standards for acute neurorehabilitation following a stroke.
In 2024, a structured collaboration at the European level was initiated with the European Stroke Society (ESO) and the European Federation of Neurorehabilitation (EFNR).
This partnership involves organizing annual two-day rehabilitation courses for medical professionals specializing in post-stroke rehabilitation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

These countries are also participants in the Stroke Action Plan Europe (SAP-E), a joint initiative of the European Union and ESO.
The SAP-E encompasses seven domains essential for stroke treatment; EVER Pharma will facilitate training courses focusing on acute rehabilitation over the next six years for 40 rehabilitation specialists from 20 countries.
The first course was held in Bucharest on June 3rd and 4th and was structured into four modules, each led by distinguished trainers specializing in the most common post-stroke complications:
- Motor Recovery – Peter Lackner, Vienna
- Cognition – Gabriella Bottini, Rome
- Aphasia – Paola Marangolo, Naples
- Dysphagia – Björn Degen, Vienna
The participants provided extremely positive feedback, praising the quality of information and the practical, transformative “take-home messages” to initiate local changes. The next step involves that participating delegates organize follow-up courses in their respective countries to further disseminate what has been learnt in order to multiply the benefits of the course content.
For these implementation courses, EVER Pharma will also serve as the partner for program facilitation, confident that this project will significantly increase access to care percentages in acute post-stroke rehabilitation and enhance the overall quality of care, particularly in ESO-EAST countries.
EVER Pharma is delighted that this engagement has been recognized by the ESO-Leadership, praising our company while encouraging the continuation of educational and training efforts in stroke care.
