New Treatment for severe TBI Patients

One of the Senior Austrian leaders in intensive care, Dr. Helmut Trimmel, and his team developed a new multimodal treatment concept for severe TBI patients at the Landesklinikum Wiener Neustadt (AT). In an interview he spoke about this new concept.

Dr. Trimmel referred to two previous studies and wanted to improve the patient benefit even further and has thus developed this unique combination therapy with two complementary pharmacological agents.

He also spoke about the merits of the CAPTAIN-trial and finally expressed his interest to research this treatment concept within a new controlled clinical research project.
